Each pair of MUSU is designed in the heart of the French Riviera and handcrafted in Italy with the primary intention of adding a distinctive yet elegant touch to any attire. All MUSUs are made from Bioacetate, a plant-based component developed by leading Italian company Mazuchelli, the industry's most trusted supplier since 1849. Musu was born in October 2021, from an association of two siblings, Célia Limandat, 21 and Ryan Limandat, 26.
With Musu, the young creators wanted above all to launch a project that resembled them. The artistic direction was therefore decided well before the official launch of the brand. The brand's DNA is very strong, and the inspiration is a mix of futuristic and 70's vision, fragments of life on the French Riviera, Martin Parr-like compositions, and a touch of French humor straight out of their childhood movies.
The same attention to details of the frames is reflected in the way the label communicates. "Everything is very carefully thought but the tone always remains light because with MUSU we try to combine a quirky universe with a quality product" explains Celia.
