Welcome to Cult Mia Classics

Welcome to the Classics. 150 brands have joined Cult Mia since launching in October 2019. With your help, we've selected the top 10 brands to join our first permanent collective. The thoughtfully curated selection showcases independent brands, artisanal design, and craftsmanship across six categories from all corners of the globe, encompassing what we do best. By discovering and shopping Cult Classics, you will benefit from exclusive styles, early access to new collections, as well as made-to-order and bespoke offerings.
"In addition to seeing how much our community engaged with and shopped the selected designers, the Classics were chosen based on meeting our assortment criteria: sustainable logistics and demand-led inventory, mission-driven and inclusive and / or supporting local production. We’re excited to always be able to offer these handpicked, often co-designed and exclusive pieces to our customers, while helping our Classics broaden their global reach.”
-- Nina Brener-Hellmund, Founder & CEO at Cult Mia -

 Introducing 2021's Cult Classics designers:

"We have a very strong European following base. Many of our customers would fall in love with our hats when traveling to Tulum or San Miguel de Allende, but were not able to get them anywhere else. Cult Mia has given us the opportunity to be present in this market, which has become very important for us. We are looking forward to growing together and expanding into new markets together. We have seen such great support from Cult Mia in growing our brand!"
--Gisela Salcedo, Creative Director & Founder of Tuluminati--
Your first Cult favorite, 100% handcrafted in the ultimate beach destination, Tulum - we brought your favorite hats back just in time for SS21. Locally designed and handmade, Tuluminati is led by quality and lifting up its community in the Mayan region of Mexico. With the prime materials, most comfortable fit and the standout design, you'll be rocking a statement in this unique hat.

You asked, we listened. Cult Mia’s favorite Sarah’s Bag is here to stay. One-of-a-kind designs, traditional techniques, and new materials - Sarah’s Bag is this and more. The label is a social enterprise which employs female workers all over Lebanon to provide you with 100% handmade bags. An artisan can work up to 25 hours on a single piece from Sarah’s bag to bring these designs to life. Treat yourself with a unique handcrafted bag, or gift one.

“Our company was completely shut down from 2016-2018, Cult Mia was the first platform to show trust in us again and has worked with us to introduce the brand to the US, UK and EU markets. As a result of strong sales with Cult Mia, we’re collaborating on exclusive pieces for our new long-term partnership.”
--Mary Bitchashvili, Brand Manager of Gvasalia--

Mariam Gvasalia established her own brand in 2013 in Tbilisi, focusing primarily on 100% genuine leather, handcrafted women's shoes. After taking part in internationally recognized fashion shows such Tbilisi Fashion Week and Mercedes Benz Fashion Week, Gvasalia quickly established itself as one of Georgia's rising star fashion designers. From knee high combined leather cowboy boots to wedge suede booties, Gvasalia boots never fail to make a statement. This season, we’ve teamed up with Mariam and designed exclusive croc embossed loafers for the spring.

MAREI 1998

“As a sustainable brand we carefully select our affiliates. It’s important for us to find both agendas and humans that go the extra mile for their community. Cult Mia is one of those cases. Happy to be on board.”
-- Maya Reik, Founder & Creative Director of Marei1998--
Marei 1998 is a ready-to-wear and accessories label for the new era. Focusing on feminine, sophisticated silhouettes with impeccable details and PETA approved, eco-conscious materials like recycled nylon, vegan leather, velvet and faux fur, the house offers a signature take on enduring elegance. "Cult Mia took a chance on Andrea Iyamah at a time when the world was not quite sure how to proceed with the outbreak of a pandemic. Andrea Iyamah now being included as a staple brand on the platform, goes to show that the chance paid off and we are excited to serve the Cult Mia community with our designs. Andrea Iyamah designs have been synonymously termed classic so being included in Cult Mia's classics is quite fitting, thank you."
--Somkele Iyamah Idhalama, Regional Manager at Andrea Inyama--
Founded in 2011, Nigerian fashion designer Andrea Iyamah’s namesake label stays true to her vibrant African roots: swimwear and resort wear in bold colors, modern femininity and a contemporary edge that appeals to the modern woman. For over a decade Andrea Iyamah has gained repeated recognition for its work in fashion and has over the years been featured in Vogue, Forbes, InStyle, Huff Post and more. Popularly recognized for its eccentric and unique take on swimwear, the brand has seen the likes of Michelle Obama, Kate Hudson, Gabrielle Union, Ciara, Issa Rae and many more style stars, becoming an African resort wear cult favorite.

Handcrafted opulent jewelry that radiates the beauty of the East and its rich heritage, Natasha Khushi, the creator behind the brand, has always had an eye for exquisite detail. Fascinated by design and the elaborate wonders of her Eastern heritage since childhood, she was driven to draw on this influence in design school. Creating designs that enhanced her favorite aspects of her heritage, combining easter motifs with daring European styles. Combining rawness with elegance, Opuline's timeless creations embrace the true essence of an Empress.

We launched their SS21 collection exclusively and you loved it. Founded in 2015 by Georgian fashion talent Gvantsa Janashia, this retro-futuristic label is inspired by looking to the past to shape the future. Cult Mia’s fashion team notes that texture is at the heart of her collection. Janashia plays with light and heavy, from ethereal sheers and delicate metal chains to chunky woven fabrics.

A collaboration between Natia Khutsishvili and Lako Bukia, the brand was born under the idea to create expressive shaped feminine earrings. It was made for women who want to express their individuality and stand out from the crowd. A London College of Fashion and Parsons graduate, Lako is the designer behind luxury label Lako Bukia, shown at LFW for 4 seasons, as well as in various catwalks in Paris, Berlin, Kiev. A growing celebrity favorite in the US, yet fresh to the UK, these handcrafted pieces inspired by animals caught Cult Mia’s eye.
