Helmer's founders passion for travel and the constant search for cultural originality is the cornerstone for creating their handbag and accessory collections. They understand the need to offer a perfect balance between style, functionality, practicality and with a fashionable insight into the different cultural backgrounds. In keeping with their respect for the culture and traditions of Bali (where the brand idea was born), and also the world in which we live, Helmer endeavors to follow the guidelines and the international treaties established to protect the wildlife and its environment.
Helmer's co-founder, Michelle Helmer, wanted to contribute to fight against Covid-19 transmission by creating handcrafted protective face masks from repurposed Kenyan wax fabrics, delivering a sustainable and unique face mask for each customer. With each purchase Helmer donates to the customers local medical insitution or charity in need during the pandemic.
Why we love them?
The face masks are made from sustainable materials and can be reused as many times as you like by washing and ironing them. The purpose of creating reusable face masks was to support the pandemic but keeping in mind that there is no need to create more waste.
The face masks have been sold out multiple times as Helmer's promise of sustainability and community impact comes through loud and clear. Helmer has been able to donate to a variety of charities that support the elderly, the homeless and the sick during Covid-19.
