The Stories We Want To Tell and The Brands We Want You To Meet
At Cult Mia, our mission is to shine the spotlight on the brands that deserve to be known from around the globe. These are brands that are on the up and coming, who you might not have seen yet, but you’re just in time to discover them before they take the next fashion weeks by a storm. More than anything, at Cult Mia, we love seeing women from Tbilisi to Los Angeles growing incredible brands, with missions that go far beyond cool fashion pieces.
Liya IT Georgian designer, Liya, started her label in 2017, and has already built up a cult following of fashion insiders. With designs that are built to last a lifetime and are inspired by the emotions of the people and places around her, Liya creates one-of-a-kind accessories and jewellery, with intricacies and attention to every detail. Most known for her statement knitting, she creates contemporary clothing that can be styled in many ways to fit your individual style. All of the fabrics and materials that are used by the brand are hand-selected and handmade, with the aim to support slow fashion. We wanted to hear Liya tell her own story, so listen to her interview yourself on our Instagram.
Alla, the founder of Cosheroom, has lived in London for more than ten years. And just like all of our daily struggles, Alla couldn't find simple, yet versatile outfits (that fit well!), which could be worn to parties or for a more relaxed look. Enter Cosheroom: fabulous, feather trimmed silk sets that can be dressed up or down for any occassion. Alla’s sustainable processes allows Cosheroom to use all leftover materials, reducing waste when creating pieces. Each element is sustainably sourced and of the highest quality, makes their the sets uniquely slinky and conscious.
Dan Cassab In 2016, wanting to empower local communities, Dan Cassab found a way to bring exceptional leather craftsmanship from her native, Mexico, to the world. The label is rooted in the intersection of artisanal craftsmanship and the development of statement leather pieces that are meant to be passed down and treasured through generations. The brand's ethos is based on the creation of timeless clothes through the preservation of leather artisanship, from design to creation. Hear from Dan herself on our Tik Tok.
