In case you missed our Earth Day "Ask why before you buy" panel, we’re excited to share the conversation with you. What we care about the most when we select our brands is the values that underpin them. From the outset, a sustainable outlook has been a core selection criteria. We were thrilled to spotlight Sarah Beydoun as one of our panelists as well as Aslaug Magnusdottir, Rachel Arthur, Kelly Eastwood and our moderator Anne Marie Curtis.
Sarah is the founder and creative director of Lebanese social enterprise and fashion label, Sarah’s Bag. A 2020 best selling brand, Sarah’s Bag has one-of-a-kind designs and the highest handmade quality bags. The social enterprise employs over 200 female workers, often ex-prisoners all over Lebanon. An artisan can work up to 25 hours on a single piece. Learn more about how the brand came to life and how each panelists experience impacted their day to day sustainability practices.
