24ct gold-plated bronze

Ancient Jugs. This rare Biblical jewelry dating 1100 B.C. was found recently in Jerusalem. Made in the form of jugs this pair definitely belonged to an upper class woman who hide the collection, and for some reason were unable to come back to pick it up. Jewish women of that time like many others have always used jewelry to show off their status and wealth, and enhance their own beauty. The jug - “yatsar”, the Hebrew name for God meaning to fashion, to frame - symbolizes transformation and creation of soil.

Composition: 24ct gold-plated bronze

Handmade in Armenia
