Founded in 2001 in Bogota, Colombia, Mercedes Salazar is a brand that has left an indelible mark in the world of jewelry, accessories and products for the home.
Mercedes, with her innate love for Colombian artisans and ancestral techniques, has been the forerunner of an authentic and unique approach, gifting each piece with a fragment of her essence and the rich culture of her beloved Colombia. MS objects seek to create a communion between the community, the planet and the connection with the universe. A part of the production takes place in the brand's atelier in Bogotá, where more than 60 people work. The rest is the result of a prosperous collaboration with almost 200 artisans nationwide, almost all women, which has a significant impact on the communities and families involved. Her work has contributed to improving the quality of life of various artisan communities in the country and to generating opportunities for economic and social development, thus keeping cultural identities alive.
