L’ Obscure Clarté is an independent authentic eyewear brand created by industrial designer Asli Baser. L' Obscure Clarté means Unknown Clarity in French. ​ For the name of the brand, we were inspired by the idea that everything which comes across seems unknown to us at first and actually becomes clear when we explore it on deep levels. Each of the sunglasses is inspired by different topics and concepts, and the reason is that the unknowns in the universe never end. L’ Obscure Clarté’s sophisticated sunglasses are the door to the unknown. Our brand has an experimental and boundary-pushing design approach. We prefer bold, powerful designs and colors with a strong sense of newness to create a different perspective about sunglasses. A detailed approach to the quality of materials used defines the finished product. In our charming products; we apply new techniques to acetates, give them voluminous forms, and also combine the acetate materials with wood. Our sunglasses are made for always, not just seasonal. Our products are handmade in Izmir, Turkey, where our founder and creative director was born and live, focusing on skilled craftsmanship techniques by including high-quality materials while supporting the local ateliers.
