CELEBRATING
5 YEARS OF CULT MIA
At Cult Mia, we’ve spent the last five years building a platform that celebrates independent designers who share our values—sustainability, social consciousness, minority ownership, and a commitment to heritage craft.
As we mark this milestone, we’re taking a moment to reflect on the incredible journey we’ve been on, the brands we've championed, and the values that continue to drive us.
OUR BEGINNING
2019
In our first year, we explored the world of jewelry and small homeware brands. Back then, we operated with a wholesale model, bringing curated collections to life for our customers.
These early days shaped the foundation of Cult Mia, but as we grew, so did our ambition. In 2020, we transitioned to a global drop-ship marketplace model, marking a new chapter in our journey.
THE GLOBAL VISION TAKES SHAPE
2020
Our first full year as a marketplace saw the onboarding of brands that set the tone for our new direction. Designers like Andrea Iyamah, Lalo, and Sarah's Bag joined our roster, bringing bold, culturally rooted designs to a global audience.
This year was about expanding horizons and offering customers the chance to discover fashion with meaning.
Elevating Craft and Storytelling
2021
By 2021, we were focused on building relationships with designers who told stories through their craft. Brands like Nué Studio, Andreeva, and Liya showcased collections that blurred the lines between art and fashion.
Their unique takes on craftsmanship, whether through bold textures or intricate detailing, aligned perfectly with our values.
A Year of Bold Collaborations
2022
In 2022, we pushed the envelope with daring collections from Monika Dimova, AKHL, and Double A. These designers brought fresh perspectives, combining heritage craft techniques with modern aesthetics.
This was the year of fearless creativity, where traditional craftsmanship met avant-garde innovation.
Diverse Voices, Singular Vision
2023
2023 brought a wave of diverse and visionary designers to Cult Mia. With the onboarding of Alohas, 21Six, Tracy Studio, and Le Than Hoa, we continued our commitment to championing underrepresented voices.
These brands brought sustainability to the forefront with eco-conscious collections, making it a year where fashion met purpose.
A New Generation of Designers
2024
As we celebrate our fifth year, we welcome brands like Monetre, Happy Clothing, and Montsand into the fold. These designers represent the next generation of independent fashion, with a focus on sustainability, innovative materials, and a deep respect for traditional techniques.
Their collections embody the future of Cult Mia, where conscious fashion continues to thrive.
